Real Leadership - Real Experience

A message from Bev

This November’s election brings us a rare and important opportunity.  With Ruth Griffin’s decision not to seek re-election, for the first time in twenty years we will see a new Executive Councilor for District 3.  I am running for that position, and I am asking for your help in that effort.

The Executive Council plays an important role in New Hampshire state government, overseeing state spending and contracts, and confirming the governor’s nominations.  To keep state government moving forward and focused on the needs of the people, Governor Lynch needs Executive Councilors who share his priorities and who will work in a bipartisan way to do what is best for our state.

As a legislator for twenty years, first in the House then in the Senate, I have proven my ability to cross partisan lines to get things done and to make real progress on issues from healthcare to education to protecting the environment to investing in the creation of jobs.

As Senate President I appointed committee chairs and hired staff.  During that time, I showed that, like Governor Lynch, I am willing to look across party lines to make sure that the citizens of New Hampshire have the best possible people serving them in state government.

As a business owner for 45 years and a Past President of the Hampton and Seacoast Area Chamber of Commerce, I know the amount of hard work required to maintain a successful business and provide for a family.  As a member of the Executive Council, I will be committed to making sure state government works efficiently to help keep our economy moving.

As a former Chair of both the Senate Finance and Appropriations Committees, I am a proven fiscal conservative, and will not tolerate wasteful spending.  As I have in the past, I will work diligently to ensure the citizens I represent have efficient and effective government.
Governor John Lynch has restored credibility to our state government.  We share the same commitment to open and ethical government.

I have found things work best when they are in balance, and with your help, I can bring more balance to the Executive Council.  Together, we can give Governor Lynch the support he needs to continue to make progress for the people of New Hampshire.

I hope that I can count on your support in this important election, and that you will consider showing that support by making a contribution to my campaign.

Sincerely,

Bev
